The Bainbridge Youth Choir is proud to offer choir classes to all youth ages 4 and older. Formerly the Olympic Girls’ Choir, Founding Artistic Director Laura Milleson, was succeeded by Angie Godfrey in the Fall of 2018. BYC offers choral instruction to four different age groups. Early Singers, Encora, Cantabile, and Chamber Choir, serving children from Bainbridge Island and the Kitsap area.

ANGIE GODFREY
Artistic Director
Angie has been teaching Music for 20 years. After studying at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, she has taught in California and Washington. She lives on Bainbridge Island with her family.

Theodora Carson
Collaborative Pianist
Theodora Carson is an active soloist, teacher, and collaborative pianist. Born and raised on Bainbridge Island, she has performed with the Marrowstone Island Orchestra, Seattle Wind Symphony, and Bainbridge Island Orchestra. She holds degrees in piano performance from Rice University and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
As a collaborative pianist, Theodora has worked at The Boston Conservatory of Music, Olympic Dance Company, San Francisco Boys Choir, University of Washington School of Music, and at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. In San Francisco, she was a professor of piano and the choral accompanist at the University of San Francisco. She is thrilled to return to Bainbridge Island and accompany the Bainbridge Youth Choir.

CLAIRE WILLEFORD-CARRILLO
Administrative Assistant
Claire has been assisting as BYC’s administrative assistant since 2021.
She has two children who are beginning their third year of BYC classes, and has loved observing all the positive impacts of this program from a parent’s perspective. Claire is a former public health and social services professional, now homeschool parent, who is passionate about the education of the whole child and the importance of the arts to each one of us!
Claire loves that her current role allows her to support other BYC parents, as well as music in our greater community.
